It is super important that first aiders get the opportunity to refresh their skills and take on board any recent updates from the statutory and regulatory bodies that govern the first aid industry. This is because there is always room for innovation and more effective ways of doing things. This is progression!

As first aiders the responsibility rests with the person who holds the qualification and, in an emergency, it is the first aider who will need to respond and react and so it is advantageous to be informed and to then practice and become confident in this new way of doing things.

If you are interested in finding out how to refresh your skills, please do contact us and we will be happy to point you in the right direction for this service.

In other news, it is a pleasure to introduce our refreshed and updated website to you! We have been working with the one and only Susie Tobias from Wise Genius who has been working on our website for the past 7 years and this will be the 3rd iteration of our brand.

We added our other pillars, Educate and Empower, to accompany our core work in Training. We are proud of the work we have been doing with young people with our badge initiative, working with brands such as the Curious Entrepreneurs and our collective work on the Youth Empowerment Program working with local schools.

Our partnership with Barnardo’s has helped us pave the way to be able to offer this program to other organisations working with young people and families. We look forward to exploring what we can do with this new opportunity.

You will see a fresh new colour way, easy to navigate menu and a brand-new ‘this month’s focus’ page where we will be regularly bringing you specific subjects and resources to help you with your role as a first aider.

We hope you like it as much as we do, and feel free to share your comments once you have looked!
