The following are terms of a legal agreement between you and ABC Life Support CIC (“We”). Your registration for, or use of our services shall be deemed to be your acceptance of the terms contained herein. If you are agreeing to these Terms of Use on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind such entity to these Terms of Use. You agree that ABC Life Support CIC may make changes to these Terms of Use at any time without prior notice. ABC Life Support CIC will notify you of changes by posting updated versions on the ABC Life Support CIC Web Site. Your continued use of ABC Life Support CIC services shall be deemed to be your consent to such changes in the Terms of Use. In addition, ABC Life Support CIC may make changes to the Services at any time. This Terms of Use document is effective from April 2019.

Course bookings

Bookings are made via the website, email or by telephone. All bookings will be confirmed in writing by email (or letter if email not available) prior to the course start date and payment is due before the course date.

Payment terms

Course bookings can be paid for in the following ways:

Website Payment: You can press the ‘Book Now’ link on the course booking page and follow the instructions. This will take you to our Stripe payment gateway where you can fill in your credit/debit card details. We will automatically access this in the office and send you confirmation within 3 working days.

Cheque: Payable to ‘ABC life support CIC’ and sent to the registered address found at the bottom of this page. Cheques should be sent at least 14 days before the course start date to allow time for clearance

BACS: Details can be found on the invoice that you are issued with upon booking a course (space on a course).

Stripe: On your electronic invoice you can access our secure Stripe payment gateway where you can pay for the course via your credit or debit card. We will automatically receive your booking in the office and confirmation will be automatically sent to you.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT CASH BOOKINGS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE

Corporate Bookings

If payment by invoice/on account has been previously agreed, the payment needs to be made 30 days from the date of invoice or 7 days prior to the course start date, whichever is first. We reserve the right not to deliver the course if payment has not been made.

CERTIFICATION WILL BE HELD UNTIL FULL PAYMENT HAS BEEN RECIEVED

Cancellations

Unless prior notice and arrangement is made with us, if for whatever reason you need to cancel your booking, the following fees are applicable- Please note the percentages retained by ABC Life Support CIC.

  • Less than two weeks prior to the course start date – 50% of the course fee retained
  • One week or less – 100% of the course fee will be retained.

 N.B Cancellation must be made in writing via email or and received before the course is due to start.

Non-attendance

If you do not attend a course, and you have not previously informed us, the full course fee remains payable.

Late arrivals/missed sessions

If you arrive late for a course or are absent from any session, we reserve the right to refuse to accept you for training, without liability, if we feel you will gain insufficient knowledge or skill in the time remaining. In all such cases, the full course fee remains payable. To conform to OFSTED and PACEY registration requirements for the 12 Hour Paediatric certificates, attendance at all sessions for the full session is mandatory. The HSE require full course attendance for any First aid at Work Course. MHFA England require full course attendance in order to distribute any certification.

Course Cancellation

If for any reason, we have to cancel a course you will be given as much notice as possible and the option of a free transfer to another course date or a full refund of fees paid will be made.

Assessment

Depending on the course that you are attending, you may be required to pass a practical and /or written assessment. The trainer reserves the right not to issue a certificate if the student does not show proper knowledge and learning throughout the course and subsequently does not pass any written assessment at the end of the course.
