From the Romsey Mill website:
“Romsey Mill is a charity committed to overcoming disadvantage, challenging injustice, and promoting social inclusion with young people, children and families. Each year, we work with over 2,000 individuals and families, from Cambridge city and across areas of Cambridgeshire and Peterborough, including:
- young mothers and fathers
- young people on the margins of society who may be involved in risky or anti-social behaviour
- young people struggling to engage fully with education
- families with pre-school children
- young people with an autistic spectrum condition.
Our work is long term, relational and needs-led. We work with participants to develop their skills and to enable their progress towards training, work, and positive involvement in the community”
ABC Life Support has been delivering physical first aid training for the Young Parents Program for the past 6 years and the courses are delivered for free using profit from our full paying clients.
“I think the overall feel is that our participants and staff think Danielle is very engaging which makes it easy for our young parents to stay focused and engaged. She has a great way of presenting the material and giving practical, everyday examples which aids their understanding. The young parents have fed back important information they have picked up in the sessions too. This has been true of both the online and in-person training” – Lee Nash – Young Parents Program Lead
