Paediatric First Aid 2 day course

This two-day Paediatric First Aid Course follows the syllabus of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and meets the requirements of Ofsted’s Compulsory Childcare Register.

The 2-day Paediatric First Aid course covers:

  • how to plan for and deal with a First Aid Emergency
  • reporting of accidents and incidents
  • recovery position
  • resuscitation (CPR)
  • fainting
  • choking
  • bleeding and wound management
  • shock
  • scalds and burns
  • electric shock
  • asthma
  • meningitis
  • head, neck and back injuries
  • broken bones
  • foreign bodies in eyes, ears and nose
  • bites and stings
  • anaphylactic shock
  • poisoning

Assessment and certification

Learners will be given ongoing assessment through the 2-day Paediatric First Aid course. On completion of the course they’ll receive an Ofsted-compliant certificate, valid for three years.

Course fee

In-house: £700 + VAT per group of 12 – includes handouts, a paediatric First Aid booklet and certificate.

Public venue: £85 + VAT per person – includes handouts, a paediatric First Aid booklet and certificate.
