- 12 Hour Paediatric
20th May 2021
9:30 am - 4:30 pm
Venue: Forum Conference & Banqueting Ltd
As first aid training providers, our mission is to train parents, carers and anyone working in the childcare and education industry in life-saving techniques that could help to prevent a child’s death.
We are a social enterprise that delivers physical and mental health first aid training for all. From workplaces to families, we provide a range of courses for people in and around Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire, including paediatric first aid training courses.
Paediatric first aid training focuses solely on young children and infants. Our course is designed to give you peace of mind on how to handle a wide range of illnesses, injuries, accidents, and emergencies while looking after a child.
First aid is not a one-size-fits-all approach – there are certain differences in approach between how you would handle a potentially life-threatening incident with a three-month-old baby compared with a 25-year-old adult. It’s important to know these differences if you look after a child or infant.
We offer both public and onsite courses. Our public courses are held in local venues across Hertfordshire and Cambridgeshire and are open to the general public. You can also access a range of paediatric online courses.
Our onsite courses are designed for workplaces or organisations. To book an onsite course you can contact us on 08000467410 or fill out our contact form to arrange an onsite visit.
Paediatric first aid is suitable for anyone who works, lives, or regularly spends time with children or infants.
We particularly recommend this course for the following:
Our paediatric training features both practical and theoretical elements to ensure you’re getting an interactive experience while covering the essential knowledge you need.
We cover a broad range of scenarios, illnesses, and injuries that are common in young children.
From covering the basic contents of a first aid kit and dealing with common insect bites, to handling more serious scenarios, such as CPR, choking, and diabetic emergencies – our aim is to give you the tools you need to not only safely and efficiently deal with children’s health conditions and accidents, but to also potentially save a child’s life.
At the end of each course, you will receive a certificate along with a Paediatric first aid booklet.
