Emergency First Aid at Work + AED

This HSE-compliant one-day Emergency First Aid At Work (EFAW) course is for organisations employing up to 50 staff in a low-risk environment and is also suitable for the self-employed. The course includes AED training to allow for the management and deployment of a company Automatic External Defibrillator.

The Emergency First Aid At Work course is suitable for:

  • small offices
  • retail outlets
  • community groups (churches, charities, youth groups)
  • self-employed

The Emergency First Aid At Work course covers:

  • common workplace injuries
  • shock
  • choking
  • seizures
  • bleeding
  • the unconscious casualty
  • resuscitation (CPR)
  • reporting of injuries and accident book

Assessment and certification

Learners will be given ongoing assessment throughout the Emergency First Aid At Work course and a final multiple choice questionnaire to confirm learning. On completion of the course, they’ll receive the Emergency First Aid At Work certificate, valid for three years. Staff will also receive an Automated External Defibrillator certificate, valid for one year.

Course fee

In house: £600 + VAT per group of 12 – includes handouts, a First Aid booklet and certificate.

Public venue: £90 + VAT per person – includes lunch, handouts, a First Aid booklet and certificate.
