Our Empower offering is all about arming people with the skills to save a life, and we have some examples of how this could apply to you and your organisation.
Who is our impact demographic?
We aim to provide accessible First Aid training to those who are normally unable to access this training. We have focused on the strands of inequality with a special interest in those who are economically disadvantaged.
Empower Licence Programme
We have been working with the team at Barnados for over 10 years. In this time, we have created a licensing programme with the Stevenage and North Hertfordshire teams. The commissioning leads have changed over those years with the earliest incarnation being the NHS Sure Start Childrens Centre. We created this service with the team as we recognised a need for an internal training team to work with families, which was practical and cost-effective. By training these key workers in Paediatric First Aid, they can deliver training to families who otherwise would not be able to access this life-saving training. Building relationships and trust is part of their roles, and providing empathetic training was a powerful addition and through their work, we can deliver impact every time.
