Online First Aid for Parents

For parents and carers only.

As a parent-to-be or new parents, accessing paediatric first aid training has never been easier with our online course. Designed to work around a busy schedule, this course teaches essential first aid for babies, toddlers, and young children. With a recommended completion time of 1 – 1.5 hours, this course is manageable and looks at common issues and how to deal with them, including allergic reactions, asthma, and burns.

Course Objective: This course covers a large range of actionable content, however the main objective of the course is to leave you feeling confident and able to assess an emergency situation and prioritise what action to take.

Assessment: Self-checks after each section of the course and an optional end of course multiple-choice assessment.

Certificate: On successful completion, learners can download a certificate as evidence that they have passed the course.

Online Fire Safety for Early Years

For Ofsted registered childminders, nurseries and pre-schools up to the age of 5.

This course has been developed in line with national Health and Safety guidelines and the EYFS Statutory Framework. From fire drills, to causes of fire, this course will teach you the fundamentals of fire safety with a specific context of fire safety requirements in early years. This online course can be completed in 1 – 2 hours.

Course Objective: Teach, in detail, actionable fire safety and procedures for anyone working in an Early Years setting.

Assessment: Continuous self-checks throughout the course (100% pass mark required to progress to next lesson) and an end of course multiple-choice test with a 70% pass mark.

Certificate: On successful completion, learners can download a certificate as evidence that they have passed the course.

Online Risk Assessment for Early Years

For Ofsted registered childminders, nurseries and pre-schools up to the age of 5.

This online course demonstrates the importance of risk assessments and the five steps you need to successfully complete one. This is essential learning for childminders and nursery staff as it teaches a proactive approach to first aid in early years. Designed to be completed in 1 – 2 hours, this course has been developed in line with national Health and Safety guidelines and the EYFS Statutory Framework.

Course Objective: For those working in an Early Years setting to understand the importance of risk assessment, identify hazards and evaluate risk, describe how to carry out a risk assessment and explain the review process.

Assessment: Continuous self-checks throughout the course (100% pass mark required to progress to next lesson) and an end of course multiple-choice test with a 70% pass mark.

Certificate: Learners will be able to download a certificate to provide evidence after the successful completion of the online course.
