This HSE recognised First Aid at Work course complies with the requirements laid down by the Health and Safety-First Aid Regulations 1981. The course covers both practical and theoretic modules and by the end of the course,
the successful candidate will become the First Aider in the Workplace.
The course is delivered over 18 hours (3 days) and contains both theoretic and practical modules.
• Incident Management Bleeding
• Primary Survey Shock
• The Unconscious Casualty including Severe Allegic Reaction
Recovery Position Asthma
• Resuscitation (CPR) Low Blood Sugar
• Casualty Management including Care and Choking
Communication Head and Eye Injuries
• Fainting Poisons
• Minor / Major Seizures Abdominal Pains
• Sprains and Strains Chest Pains
• Bone and Joint Injuries
• Burns and Scalds
Ongoing Assessment will take place throughout the course. There will be no formal exam.
The student will receive a booklet and certificate of completion which is valid for 3 years.
For anyone doing 3 Days you will receive an eLearing access key code to do part 1 online, the remaining modules will be delivered over 2 days in the classroom.
For anyone doing the re-qualification you will only need to attend the 2 days in the classroom
