This two-day Paediatric First Aid Course follows the syllabus of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and meets the requirements of Ofsted’s Compulsory Childcare Register. The certificate gained on completion of the course is required for entry onto the Early Years register.
Part one will be done by the learner online, access codes to the elearning site will be emailed once you have booked on to this course, once you have completed the online module, part two will be delivered in the classroom. Proof must be shown to the trainer that part one has been completed before they proceed with the remaining modules to certify the learner.
The 2-day Paediatric First Aid course is suitable for:

The 2-day Paediatric First Aid course covers:
- how to plan for and deal with a First Aid Emergency
- reporting of accidents and incidents
- recovery position
- resuscitation (CPR)
- fainting
- choking
- bleeding and wound management
- shock
- scalds and burns
- electric shock
- asthma
- meningitis
- head, neck and back injuries
- broken bones
- foreign bodies in eyes, ears and nose
- bites and stings
- anaphylactic shock
- poisoning
Assessment and certification
Learners will be given ongoing assessment through the 1-day Paediatric First Aid course. On completion of the course they’ll receive an Ofsted-compliant certificate, valid for three years.
