“Paediatric first aid is the treatment carried out in the event of a medical emergency involving infants and children. The age range goes from birth to puberty. There are fundamental differences in regards to Human Anatomy at different ages of growth and therefore if you are responsible for the care of these age groups, it would be wise to find out how and why to treat them should anything happen. That said, First Aid in a matter of life and death shouldn’t be delayed due to a lack of knowledge for this particular age group and following UK resuscitation guidelines, if you have previous adult training, then you should use this knowledge as of course anything is better than nothing”
